Seller says…

“When we stepped into 1420 Newton we knew our search was over, and it didn’t even have walls yet!”

When we moved to Atlanta, we spent nine months looking for the perfect house.  Our evenings and weekends were filled with visiting over 100 different houses from Grant Park to Kirkwood.   When we stepped into 1420 Newton we knew our search was over, and it didn’t even have walls yet!    We were immediately drawn to the open floor plan, the huge master suite and all the features that make 1420 comfortable.  It was big enough for the two of us and had the space for our family to grow.  It is perfect for entertaining friends and also has plenty of room for offices and a nursery.   The two car off-street parking and plentiful storage space were features that made this house distinctive.  The location made commuting easy with I-20 just 3 blocks away and the ability to walk to the Village for dinner.

There was so much more that we didn’t know we were getting by choosing to live here.   Newton Avenue is one of the best streets in one of the most exciting neighborhoods in-town.    Yes, you hear that from many people but this is definitely for real.  We were invited to dinner by a neighbor before we ever moved in!  The 1400 block of Newton Avenue is quiet but lively, close enough to be convenient to the Village (4 minute walk), but just far enough away to escape from the night life and relax.  Newton Avenue held a regular Chili Cook-Off before we arrived, but once the neighbors discovered that 14 crock pots easily fit into our kitchen, 1420 Newton was designated as the host for six years.    The November on Newton block party is another regular event coordinated by Newton Ave neighbors and one of the three block parties here in the neighborhood (May on May is awesome too and just a block away).  The street is welcoming and diverse with many professionals, people who work from home, long-term residents, and  kids of all ages  (1 – 80 years old).   If you need more convincing, just ride down the street with your windows down and stop to talk to the first person you meet.

East Atlanta is a wonderful place, with an eclectic style all its own and down to earth folks, everyone fits in.   The neighborhood has many wonderful institutions that contribute to a high-quality lifestyle.    Our own yoga studio, gym, farmers market, a variety of child care options, good schools, an active library, lots of non-profit organizations, and a busy community association.  By just taking part in what the community has to offer (don’t miss the EAV Strut), we were introduced to many new friends and neighbors. It is a rare day to walk to the village without saying hello to someone we know. The sense of community is just like a small town only in the heart of this amazing city.  We have seen many changes in the neighborhood, and anticipate it will continue to redevelop itself.

It is bittersweet to leave this home and community but a new adventure awaits us.  We hope you find as much joy and community on Newton Avenue as we have!

It was a pleasure working with Marc. He took our needs/wants into consideration to locate a variety of properties. He went above and beyond to help us find the perfect home.

Marc definitely is an expert in Real Estate, especially In-town area. He is very professional, easy to talk to and he is with you during the whole process till the end and beyond. We purchased our home more than 2 years ago, but we always call him for an expert opinion.

You will enjoy working with him.

In January I referred Marc to a very dear friend who inherited her Aunt's 130 year old home. In weeks Marc had a contract, and then a back-up contract. Impressive; especially because the first two real estate agents my friend spoke with said that she should have the historic home demolished and sell the property as a parking lot. My friend adores Marc, and I appreciate the respect he brought to her family home.

Marc has the experience to see through the noise that is the local real estate market to get you not only the best price on selling your home but also the home that suits you best for you to then move in to. We know, we used him to sell and buy our last two homes.

The home we sold went under contract in 30 days if that tells you anything about his talent as a listing agent. The home we then bought was not only a perfect fit for us but was wanted by at least 3 other buyers the day after we had our offer in. Marc was quick and nimble in getting us through both the sale and buy. He brought a soothing calm when things got a little hectic. He negotiated with skill and got us the best prices on both sides of our deals. I would use Marc again but most of all I would recommend him to anyone that needed a savvy gentleman to help them with their real estate needs.

Marc knows the area (East Atlanta Village and surrounding neighborhoods) better than just about anyone. There are few houses that he hasn't stepped foot in! He knows the ups, downs and trends for each as he has been well connected with area residents, businesses, and community groups for quite some time.

I was a seller, but I believe that Marc is just what a buyer needs as well - a well informed, personable champion looking out for your best interests.

We had a great experience with Marc. We were particularly impressed with his knowledge of the neighborhoods we were interested in, including architectural styles and history. He understood what we were looking for and came up with smart ideas for finding it.

Marc is extremely knowledgeable about the intown Atlanta market and its quirks. He is a true professional and works hard to help his clients find the property that they want and need.

Marc knew the neighborhood I was interested in as well or better than anyone I've met, and lives there as well. His enthusiasm for the community and knowledge of micro-locations within it was incredibly helpful in moving through the process. Negotiations were fairly quick and easy and the process as a whole was as stress-free as I can imagine these things get.

My wife and I used Marc and just closed on our first home. He made the process easy from start to finish. We were working with a limited budget and he was able to find us exactly what we wanted in a great location. I would certainly recommend Marc to anyone looking to buy a house in the Atlanta area. His schedule is flexible (nights/weekends) and he really made us feel comfortable from the first time we met. Thanks Marc!!!

There aren’t enough good things you can say about Marc and his team. We had a complicated closing and contract due to our house being a new build. I am so thankful we had an agent who was extremely experienced and knew what to do in every situation. Marc genuinely cared about our circumstances and our family more than “selling a home” and getting his cut.
